Nearby results work best when BenchBite has When In Use location permission on iPhone.
Location access
BenchBite works best when you allow When In Use location access so the app can center the map and show nearby results while you are using it.
If you denied permission and want to turn it back on:
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap Apps.
- Tap BenchBite.
- Tap Location.
- Choose While Using the App.
Nearby results are missing or slow to load
If nearby places or seating do not appear right away, try these steps:
- Check your internet connection.
- Move the map slightly or zoom in.
- Use the app’s manual refresh option.
- Try again a little later if the map data service is busy.
A place or seat looks wrong
BenchBite uses third-party map data. Sometimes a listing may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
If something looks wrong:
- Refresh the map.
- Compare the location in Apple Maps.
- Report the issue through the map data community if appropriate.
What this usually means
The app is showing the best data it has, but the source map may need an update.
Good next check
Zooming in or re-centering the map can help confirm whether the issue is local data or a stale view.
BenchBite Pro purchases
If you bought BenchBite Pro and the app does not show access correctly:
- Make sure you are signed in to the same App Store account used for the purchase.
- Open BenchBite.
- Use the restore purchases option.
- Reopen the app after restore completes.
If that still does not fix the issue, contact support and include the device details and purchase context listed below.
What to include in a support email
To help troubleshoot quickly, include as much of the following as you can:
Example: iPhone model or iPad model you used when the issue happened.
Include the version currently installed on your device.
This helps match your report to the current release.
A rough area is enough for nearby-results issues.
Images can help confirm map state, purchase state, or UI behavior.
A short before-and-after explanation is often the fastest way to diagnose an issue.
Privacy
BenchBite may use location while you are using the app so it can center the map and find nearby results.
